MFLCares about Camp High Hopes

Midwest Family Lending has chosen to support Camp High Hopes in the month of June and we encourage you to as well.

Camp High Hopes offers year-round therapeutic recreation programs and respites in Sioux City, IA designed to enrich the lives of youth and adults with diagnosed disabilities. Our high quality programs include experiences in archery, canoeing, and outdoor education, amongst others, for individuals and groups with disabilities. Coming from Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota, campers arrive with anticipation and excitement, leaving with smiles, new friends, and fond memories for years to come. Thanks to the support from our community, donors, parents, volunteers, and partners, we are able to continue to offer life-changing therapeutic recreation activities to the individuals who need them the most. Camp High Hopes is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of youth and adults who have special needs. Camp High Hopes is accredited by the American Camp Association.

MFLCares about The Pink Tractor Foundation

Midwest Family Lending has chosen to support The Pink Tractor Foundation in the month of May and we encourage you to as well.

Bringing Families Together to Fight Cancer.  Each year, the amount raised at the Country Carnival has grown and in June, 2016 – at the fifth annual event – over $60,000 was raised. In one attendee’s words, the Country Carnival is nearly a “national holiday” in the community.  Although the tractor is pink, the Brommel family wants to make it clear that the Foundation’s support is not limited to individuals facing breast cancer.  Funds have been given to survivors of all types of cancer, including, but not limited to, breast cancer, brain cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, thyroid cancer, leukemia, melanoma and many others.

 The sixth annual Country Carnival is scheduled for Saturday, June 10, 2017 and is located at 3845-G50 Highway, St. Charles, which is at the home of Tom and Marilyn Brommel (and is also referred to as the “Brommel Party Shed”).  Auction items are accepted at any time.  The Foundation can be reached through its Facebook page or at pinktractorfoundation@gmail.com.  Donations can be mailed to 3845-G50 Highway, St. Charles, Iowa 50240.
