Midwest Family Lending has chosen to support Freedom for Youth in the month of May and we encourage you to as well.

Freedom for Youth Ministries offers after-school and summer programs for K-12th grade students and employment training in Des Moines for 16 to 25-year-olds through Freedom Blend Coffee, a full-service coffee shop. Freedom currently operates in Des Moines, Mitchellville, Knoxville, Huxley, Johnston, Perry, Stuart, Winterset, Carlisle, Hartford, and four church-sponsored locations in the Des Moines metro.  All of our programs focus on empowering youth across Iowa though faith, education, employment, and leadership.

Midwest Family Lending has chosen to support Pink Tractor Foundation in the month of May and we encourage you to as well.

Bringing Families Together to Fight Cancer. The Pink Tractor Foundation was founded in 2014 and since its inception, it has given out over $115,000 in financial support to individuals battling cancer. Although the tractor is pink, the Brommel family wants to make it clear that the Foundation’s support is not limited to individuals facing breast cancer. Funds have been given to survivors of all types of cancer, including, but not limited to, breast cancer, brain cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, thyroid cancer, leukemia, melanoma and many others.
The Pink Tractor Foundation’s annual fundraiser – the Country Carnival – is scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2018 and is located at 3845-G50 Highway, St. Charles, which is at the home of Tom and Marilyn Brommel (and is also referred to as the “Brommel Party Shed”). The Carnival includes carnival games for the kids, food for the whole family as well as a live and silent auction. Auction items are accepted at any time. Midwest Family Lending has chosen to support Iowa Lupus Foundation in the month of April and we encourage you to as well.

The Lupus Foundation of America, Iowa Chapter is devoted to solving the mystery of lupus, one of the world’s cruelest, most unpredictable, and devastating diseases, while giving caring support to those who suffer from its brutal impact. We envision a life free of lupus.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus through programs of research, education, support and advocacy.

Midwest Family Lending has chosen to support Wildwood Hills Ranch in the month of March and we encourage you to as well.

Nearly 9,000 Iowa youth were abused in 2017 alone. Wildwood Hills Ranch exists to help these children. They meet them all year long—they are very real, and they need our help. They didn’t choose to be born into a family where mom is so addicted she can’t wake up. Or where dad learned from his dad it’s okay to beat your kids. Or a family with no dad at all.

We invite you to put yourself in their shoes. Flee your home in the middle of the night for fear of violence. See life through the eyes of a toddler left home alone all day to fend for themselves. Wonder if you’ll ever feel loved, moving from one foster home to the next. Bathe yourself in hateful, demeaning words. These are the stories of these kids.
Their work isn’t done until all Midwestern children have the opportunity to grow into healthy adults—educated, free from poverty, safe from abuse and violence, and engaged as members of communities and nurturing families.

Midwest Family Lending has chosen to support Miracle Travel Works in the month of January and we encourage you to as well.

Miracle Travel Works was founded in September 2010 by a group of close friends who witnessed firsthand the financial difficulties experienced by family and good friends as they attempted to cope with their children’s’ terminal and chronic illnesses. We realized the great need that these, and many other, families have and we also realized that we can do more than just make a small donation. For this reason we formed Miracle Travel Works to ask for your help, too. Together, we can help even more families through their difficult times.
